MINT Dentistry Externship

At MINT Dental Assistant Academy, we understand the importance of hands-on experience. That's why we require our top-performing graduates to complete a 40-hour externship, either at a dental office of their choice or with MINT Dentistry, one of the fastest-growing dental companies nationwide. *Instructors will select the top 10% and refer them to MINT for an externship.*

Our Internal Externship Program offers real-world exposure under the guidance of experienced dental professionals, helping you become a skilled and confident dental assistant. This is an opportunity you won't want to miss!

Grading System

The final grade average will be based on the completion of all listed requirements and will be determined by the following grading scale:
A – 90-100
B – 89-80
C – 79-70
F- 69 and below

Grading Policies
Student performance will be evaluated in the following manner:

Assignments 20%
Tests 20%
Quizzes 5%
Hands-on Training 35%
Final Exam 20%

Graduation Requirements
Complete the seven-week program with a grade point average of 70% or higher (this includes completion of a 40 hour externship)
Complete the BLS (CPR) course
State required certification

*MDAA ensures students attending the academy graduate with the state-required dental assisting certifications.*
